About Me
I am passionate about education in an undergraduate setting. My laboratory research is directed toward the synthesis and characterization of new ligands and related transition metal complexes for homogeneous catalysis. In the classroom, I am interested in chemical education, especially the creation of new laboratory experiments tailored to an undergraduate setting. In my current role as Associate Dean of the Getty College of Arts & Sciences, I workon curriculum, assessment, course scheduling, and catalog updates; respondto faculty and faculty/student concerns; advisegeneral studies and general science students; handleincomplete and change of grade requests; organizeand assistwith faculty and school leadership development activities, developstrategic plans and initiatives in consultation with the Dean, and assumeresponsibilities of the Dean as needed; and consult/collaboratewith faculty, associate deans of the other colleges, and Academic Affairs as needed.
